About Métier

Life is a collection of moments, celebrate as many as you can. —Eric Ziebold

Métier, a tasting menu and experience focused restaurant, is owned by acclaimed Chef Eric Ziebold.

Tucked into the lower level of a historic brick building dating back to 1907, the restaurant is located in the heart of Washington D.C. at 1015 Seventh Street NW. The building also houses Kinship, an elegant yet approachable restaurant offering an à la carte menu. Both restaurants offer creative and contemporary American cuisine with a continued dedication to hospitality.

Métier is a small, intimate restaurant seating only 20 guests. Accessible by private elevator, guests are welcomed into the Private Salon before entering the dining room which offers partial views of the Chef’s kitchen. Dinner at Métier revolves around a chef-driven experience, with a creative seven-course tasting menu.

The restaurant has been designed by Darryl Carter, a Washington D.C. native and a leader in the design world, recognized for his restrained, distinguished and livable environments. Antique materials and furniture pieces are mingling with modern details to create an elegant yet warm and comfortable atmosphere. Art and books from Eric’s personal collections can be found throughout the restaurant and are there for guests to enjoy.
